(04/28/2011) We come here not necessarily frequently, but pretty regularly; it's convenient and quick. In our family, we refer to it as "the greasy sub" place (but that's not necessarily a bad thing). The pizza is mediocre, we almost always get subs of the cheesesteak or fish variety. I did get a gyro once, and that was passable -- a little dry, lots of yogurt dressing, highly seasoned (salty) meat like you can get at any other Greek-style sub shop. We mostly like the bread the subs come on; they're toasted, crusty (before the steak juice hits it), and have soft insides (doesn't travel well). The beef or chicken cheesesteak meat is surely a pre-packaged sliced product that gets fried up on flat top with onions and peppers; the cheese is bright orange American, the spread is Miracle Whip. They recently went through a renovation that makes the place feel smaller, but new booths and tables and that's definitely an upgrade.

The pizza was quite bland - there was nothing noteworthy about it. We came here since we were hungry for pizza. Unfortunately, what we got wasn't that good. We ordered the Supreme Pizza and the Meat Lovers Pizza (or whatever this place sugar-coats these pizzas as) and took them back to the hotel. The crust was average - tasted fresh, but a little stale. The cheese was decent, although the toppings tasted like they had been in a fridge for 2-3 weeks. Then there's the sauce. The sauce is what makes or breaks most pizzas. Here, it was incredibly generic. It tasted like they just got marinara sauce from Giant and applied it to the pizzas as is. Since this restaurant has a Greek motif, why wouldn't they put Greek spices into the pizzas? Just a thought... Please, save your money and go elsewhere.

Olympia is that local sub shop you'd wanna go to and get sub's and pizza from. No health food is here, just deep fried and baked. I went here for the subs, their lunch special, to be specific. I chose from the cheese steak on one occasion, something i will never do again. Another time around i choose the Italian style cold cut. Very standard for the style but with no prosciutto, the cheese was very good though. I can say after a few bites i was tired of the flavor and didn't want to finish, there was still half a sub left by the way. On my first experience, the cheese steak sub, was paired with fries. Standard cut, hardly brown, overly salted and small there might have been hints of pepper. The second visit prompted me to try their curly fries. Poured from a bag, deep fried and salted. Again they have overly salted the fries, these are almost impossible to stomach. The location is small, dark and somewhat cheap feeling. A impossible menu hides behind newly added walls in the seating area, making the ordering process very nerve racking. I probably won't be coming back.

Thank God for Olympia Pizzeria. It stands as one of the few remaining *authentic* ma & pa sub shops which hasn't been run out of town by the Subway menace! The pizza is outstanding. When I worked nearby (late 80s) all six people in my office agreed this was the best pizza around- and you know what an accomplishment that is. Very hearty and brimming with cheese. Like no other. But for me, I'm very thankful there is at least one place left to get a ***REAL*** sub. I'm talking about mounds of quality ingredients on a real sub roll, all wrapped up in butcher paper with a side of hot salty fries in a wonderfully greasy paper bag like the old days- like a sub is supposed to be. I particularly love the fried oyster sub- something once common locally and now almost impossible to find. Maria's used to make one as did the now defunct Village Sub in Padonia. I can't beleive this heavenly sub is now so rare. I can only hope Olympia stays around forever.

The pizza tastes like it came out of a box but the subs and fries are about the only thing this place has going for it. I've given this place numerous opportunities but they didn't meet my expectations.

I forgot to mention (seeing the bad reviews for the pizza) - the best size to get is the Medium as they use the same amount of dough for the medium as they do the large. The crust is better and thicker- as you might expect. Also, while I detest mushrooms, I hear they are especially icky here- they appear to be anf taste like, canned mushrooms.

Have been ordering from Olympia for almost 30 years. Have always been happy with them. still miss Mr John an original owner but food is great. My favorites are Greek Salad and Chicken Souvlaki ! I am hungry just writing review. Thanks!

We ordered a pizza and spanakopita from here for the first time and it was great. The sauce on the pizza is full of flavor and not acidic (I don't like a lot of sauces because of the acidity). Delivery was quick and the pizza arrived hot. The spanakopita is amazing, definitely getting this again!!
